I hope you can find the answer to any questions you wish to ask about my beads on this page and if you do not, then please feel free to email me at any time.

What do you charge for postage ?

Free postage for UK only.  The following postage charges will apply outside the UK:

US and Canada  £2.00

Europe  £1.75

Australia  £2.00

For any countries which are not covered above,  please feel free to ask for postage details. All of the above prices cover a parcel holding up to three items; there will be a small cost for additional items.

How long will it be before I receive my beads ?

From the day payment is received, I try to get orders posted within three to seven days, depending on the amount of beads.  I make most of my beads to order, so I cannot promise to post your beads on day of payment.

How do you package your beads when posting to a customer ?

All of my beads are wrapped securely in bubble wrap and are posted in fully protective jiffy bags.

Do you only sell beads from your website ?

No, I also sell my beads on ebay from my ebay shop called 'Beads Of Glass'. I also sell privately if anybody wants one-off commisioned sets or focal beads.

What is your returns policy ?

If you're ever unhappy with any beads you obtain from me, I offer a full refund but only if the beads are returned within ten days and in the condition they were posted to you.  I always add an additional bead or two to orders just to cover any cracked beads, but this really doesn't happen too often.

Are all the beads you sell made by you ?

I only sell beads made by me. I have never sold other peoples beads and I have never sold imported beads in my ebay shop or on my website. Every bead you buy from me has been made by me here in my studio in the Fenlands of Cambridgeshire.

Do you make commission beads ?

Yes, I am always willing to take commissions to make unique beads, sets, or one-off focals. The challenge of making commission beads is always one I love to accept.

Are the sizes you state correct ?

I always state the sizes of my beads as accurately as I possibly can.  However, no two beads will ever be the same size as they are hand crafted.  This is part of the unique style that lampwork beads add to a piece of jewellery. So you must always allow sizes to vary just a wee bit.

How big are the holes in your beads ?

I only make my beads on two sizes of mandrel. The first size and the smallest is 1.6mm, giving a hole of that size to the bead. The second size I use is 2.4mm mandrels, giving that size hole to the beads. The larger size is ideal for beads which are to be put on leather thong etc.  I always give the size of mandrel used when I make a bead or bead set.

Are your beads annealed ?

Yes, all the beads I sell have been fully kiln annealed by me. This process helps to add strength to the beads although you can still get the odd cracked bead. I would advise anyone to only buy annealed beads and to use makers you know and trust.  Like most things in this honest world we live in, you may get the odd maker who might claim their beads are annealed when in fact they may not be, so trust is all important when buying beads.
